Frequently Asked Questions

Payment & Refunds

What are your conditions for refunds/cancellations?

Do you have a Privacy Policy? What is your Copyright and Terms of Use?

I use Jotform for the collection of personal and sensitive information. Please see my Privacy Policy Page for more information.

When I complete a service, the images are yours upon confirmation of the receipt. This is treated different to my public galleries.

For terms of use regarding publicly available content on my site, please see my Copyright & Terms of Service Page for more information.

Technical & Gear

What gear do you provide and carry?

I provide all my own gear, unless you specify your own at request.

I generally shoot handheld, but use a tripod for special circumstances (i.e. portraits/headshots and long-exposure/night shots).

I carry backup batteries and memory cards to prevent worst-case scenarios. Fear not!

Camera: Canon EOS R10

Lens: 17-55mm f/2.8 Zoom (AutoFoc. & ImgStab.)

Flash: Godox V1 Flash

Software: Adobe CC Lightroom + Photoshop

Can I have the RAW/unprocessed file? ³

I spend an great deal of time on each image to make sure they're all the highest quality they can be.

These types of images cause more issues than they solve, and create confusion and inconsistency in my service.

There is no need for having access to the RAW/unprocessed image - you are getting the best possible pictures already. ³

Do you provide backgrounds/backdrops for my event?

I do not provide backdrops sorry, but I'm more than happy to use one provided by yourself/venue!

I can improvise a backdrop using scenery and nature (gardens, walls and landscapes), and most of the time, these have a better natural result.

Delivery & Process

What style of images do you provide?

In formal settings, I usually opt for a portrait, vibrant, monochrome or vintage presets.

For gigs and events/parties, I will combine these presets with experimental and 'edgy' profiles, using grain and boosted exposures as an artistic choice.

How and when do I pay? Do you accept cash? ¹

Online payment portal Square® is used for all payments through their digital payment system.

Payment is made once all details have been finalized and confirmed. Minor changes can be made post-payment.

Please contact me if there are concerns or issues regarding details. ¹

I cannot accept cash.

How long do I need to wait to receive my gallery? Where do I find this?

I usually take around 5 business days to return a gallery, depending on my current work-load. I have many commitments between University and work, and certain periods of the year are busier than others.

In the rare-event where there is a delay, I will be transparent, communicating necessary details with you via your provided email.

Galleries are delivered through Google Drive online. You will receive a URL to your provided email with the ability to download to your device.

Do you charge for gallery delivery and/or post processing time after a shoot?

I do not charge for post-processing or delivery of galleries, this is complimentary and is included in the one-time fee.

Every effort is made to provide the best service I can, delivering as many high-quality images for you.

How many images can I expect from a photoshoot? Can you add more pictures to my gallery? ²

Each standard photoshoot session will usually generate around 20 processed images/hour of shooting. This may vary depending on your requirements and the type of shoot I am providing. ²

I believe in quality over quantity; there's a lot of time and work behind each image, and rushing through a photoshoot results in poor quality pictures.

Adding more images to a gallery increases my workload, resulting in lower quality and unnecessary images.

Larger requested jobs with many processed images (60+) will attract a higher fee to be negotiated before payment. This is due to longer post-processing time required on my end.

Portfolio & About

Who's your favourite band/artist?

Phew! Q&A over. This is what I enjoy talking about.

Bands are like having children. You don't have a favorite.

but apparently you secretly do, but I wouldn't know, I'm too young to have kids

I go through waves where I listen to different stuff, always changing depending on my listening habits!

Footnotes

  1.  All payments processed through Square® invoice or web-pay with digital email receipt. Only valid card payments accepted. See Square® Terms and Conditions page for more information.

  1.  Number of images in a gallery may vary (plus or minus) given the unique setting of every photoshoot. Images featured in galleries are given priority based on uniqueness, aesthetics, relevance to shoot and overall quality of each picture. Different types of shoots (headshots/portraits, etc.) will differ due to individual requirements and needs from you.

  1.  RAW/unprocessed images are large (40+ megabytes) and don't work like a normal .jpg file. Only in rare and special circumstances will I provide these. They are bothersome in many ways and just cause hassle for you and myself.
